The Professional Development Center (PDC) at The AIMS School was officially established in 2023 with a clear mission: to equip college students with the knowledge, skills, and awareness necessary to make informed decisions about their personal growth and professional careers.
Organized in collaboration with The AIMS Alumni Association, PDC serves as a bridge between academic learning and real-world opportunities, exposing students to professionals and successful individuals from diverse fields.
Our Mission
The PDC is designed to prepare students graduating from college for the next chapter of their lives. Through expert-led sessions, we aim to: ● Provide comprehensive career counseling and guidance ● Introduce students to diverse career opportunities and emerging fields ● Equip them with practical skills essential for higher education and professional life ● Offer exposure to the professional world through direct interaction with industry experts ● Inspire students through motivational talks and real-life success stories ● Foster personal development grounded in Islamic values and meaningful living
Each session lasts 40 minutes and is carefully designed to maximize learning and engagement. With approximately 40 sessions conducted annually, PDC ensures consistent and comprehensive development throughout the academic year.

Global Responsibilities of Youth | Dr. Nabi Raza Abidi | PDC Lecture
A Professional Development Center (PDC) session was held at The AIMS School and College, as part of the weekly guest lecturing series organized in collaboration with The AIMS Alumni Association. Dr. Nabi Raza Abidi, President WISE (World Islamic Summit on Education USA.) * and *Patron-in-Chief of Al-Kisa Foundation, USA, delivered a powerful and thought-provoking session on “Global Responsibilities of Youth”.
Dr. Abidi emphasized that Allah created humans with unlimited potential, yet sometimes we waste these God-given capabilities. He stressed that nothing is out of reach of anyone who commits to pursuing their goals with dedication and vision. He urged students to understand themselves in the context of the globe, recognizing their place in a rapidly changing world.
The speaker advised students to make a clear vision: what do you want to be. He recommended writing down goals in concrete terms and revisiting these annually to adjust pace and objectives as needed. This systematic approach to goal-setting helps students navigate their future with clarity and purpose.
Dr. Abidi explained that we are at the edge of a different era where transformation of knowledge is happening very fast. He noted a significant shift: degrees no longer play as important a role as they once did. In today’s world, practical skills, continuous learning, and adaptability matter more than traditional credentials, requiring students to think beyond conventional educational pathways.

A Professional Development Center (PDC) session was held at The AIMS School and College as part of the weekly guest lecturing series organized in collaboration with The AIMS Alumni. Major (Retd) Dr. Mohammad Tahir Qasmi, TI (M) Administrator, Al Kauthar International Hospital, Islamabad, delivered an enlightening session on “Opportunities in Allied Health Sciences”, guiding students through the diverse and growing career pathways in the healthcare sector.
Dr. Qasmi began by sharing his educational background and career progression, emphasizing that his 30 years of dedicated struggle is now yielding rewarding results. He encouraged students to push forward persistently in their pursuits, assuring them that consistent effort ultimately lead to success and recognition in society.
He emphasized that Allied Health Sciences offers vast career opportunities that are critical to the healthcare system. He noted that these fields have expanded significantly, offering more opportunities than ever before for young people.

AIMS conducted a lecture on Balancing Education, Technology and Spiritual Development

Mr. Faheem Abbas, CEO of Pearl Technologies Islamabad, delivered an inspiring session on “Education, Technology and Spiritual Development”, sharing valuable insights from his entrepreneurial journey and educational philosophy.
Mr. Abbas began by sharing his educational and professional journey, introducing students to his work and the companies he has established. He discussed technology integration and automation of processes in schools.
The speaker emphasized that education is the most powerful tool for personal and societal transformation. He highlighted the important role books play in shaping minds and inspiring action. His message underscored the transformative power of reading and continuous learning.
Through compelling personal stories, Mr. Abbas illustrated the interconnected nature of education, technology, and spiritual growth. He emphasized the importance of self-reflection and inner connection, explaining that meaningful progress begins with looking into oneself first. PDC Guest Lecture Series – Session on Physical Literacy by Mr. Abu Zafar Sadiq
Under the Professional Development Center (PDC) of The AIMS School & College, a special Guest Lecture Session was organized in collaboration with The AIMS Alumni Association. This initiative reflects the institution’s commitment to enriching students’ learning experiences through exposure to diverse professional insights beyond the regular curriculum.
The session focused on the important theme of “Physical Literacy” and was delivered by Mr. Abu Zafar Sadiq, President of the Adventure Society of Pakistan and Secretary of the Islamabad Council for Traditional Sports and Games. Drawing from his vast experience, the speaker highlighted the role of physical activity in developing lifelong health, confidence, and discipline.
During the lecture, students gained valuable understanding of physical well-being, sportsmanship, and the significance of maintaining an active lifestyle. The interactive discussion encouraged students to view physical literacy not only as sports participation, but as an essential component of personal growth and mental resilience.
